Job Description
The Executive Chef role at Jack & Harry's, a flagship venue under Vandelay Companies, is a pivotal position that combines leadership, creativity, and operational expertise. This role transcends the traditional responsibilities of kitchen management; it is about shaping the culture, elevating standards, and crafting experiences that resonate with the heart and soul of the brand. As an Executive Chef, you will lead a dynamic culinary team, overseeing daily kitchen operations with precise attention to food quality, presentation, and execution, reflecting the high standards Vandelay is known for. From menu guidance and operational performance to mentoring rising culinary leaders, your influence will be instrumental in defining a cohesive kitchen culture grounded in teamwork, consistency, and pride. The role demands proactive recruitment, training, and continuous development of the culinary staff, alongside strategic financial oversight including budgeting and cost controls. Upholding food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance is paramount, as is managing vendor relationships and supply orders to maintain seamless operations. The Executive Chef will also take an active role in guest relations, creatively addressing feedback to ensure satisfaction. This position is based in Dallas, TX, requiring relocation, and offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a company that values talent, leadership, and a deep dedication to hospitality. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and seek a chance to leave a distinct mark on a respected hospitality brand, this role invites you to join Vandelay's expanding culinary leadership team.
