Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to perform duties in absence of employees
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
  • Ability to manage budgets and departmental expenses
  • Experience in staff training and performance management

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in culinary or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related with 4 years experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Ability to develop menu and maintain quality standards

Job Duties

  • Leads kitchen management team
  • Provides direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and kitchen staff
  • Develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • Establishes performance, budget, and team goals
  • Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • Manages employee training, evaluations, and disciplinary procedures
