The role being offered is a full-time Management position within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category, specifically focused on leading the kitchen operations at the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Downtown. With an annual salary range between $100,000 and $140,000, plus eligibility for bonus compensation, this leadership role holds considerable responsibility in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and financial success of all kitchen-related activities. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall success of daily kitchen operations, delivering outstanding culinary experiences, and driving excellent customer service standards across all food preparation and service areas, including banquets, room service, restaurants, bars/lounge, and the employee cafeteria.

This position requires an individual who possesses a blend of hands-on culinary expertise and strong leadership skills. The manager is expected to lead by example, performing culinary tasks as needed while also directing and motivating the kitchen team. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability to work full time
  • authorized to work in the United States
