Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
- current ServSafe certification
- ability to manage budget and costs effectively
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- willingness to assist with cooking and event execution
- knowledge of local health and sanitation regulations
- ability to recruit, train, and retain kitchen staff
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
- bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
- experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
- extensive experience with banquet style events
- experience managing and developing teams required
- current ServSafe certification required
- ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred
Job Duties
- adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
- maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
- work with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute all events including food preparation, service, and cleanup
- estimate food consumption and make purchases as appropriate
- schedule staff efficiently to accommodate business volume fluctuations
- recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff, including developing sous chefs and lead cooks
- ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
- supervise preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
- manage kitchen equipment maintenance, conduct sanitation audits, and implement cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
- report critical issues to the General Manager
