Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience
  • At least 2 years as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in hotel or full-service restaurant
  • Strong background in banquet and catering operations preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred or required upon hire
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Solid financial management skills including budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience with at least 2 years as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a hotel or full-service restaurant
  • Strong background in banquet and catering operations preferred
  • Proven ability to lead motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Solid financial acumen including budgeting forecasting and cost control
  • Knowledge of food safety standards ServSafe certification preferred or required upon hire
  • Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations including restaurant banquet and catering services
  • Design and execute creative high-quality menus aligned with Marriott brand standards and local market trends
  • Ensure consistent food quality presentation and portion control across all outlets
  • Recruit train develop and mentor culinary team members
  • Manage food and labor costs to meet or exceed budget targets
  • Maintain compliance with food safety sanitation and health regulations
  • Collaborate with Sales and Event teams to execute successful meetings events and group functions
  • Oversee inventory management vendor relationships and purchasing
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation guest feedback and operational efficiencies
