Each Firebirds location is renowned for its fresh steaks and seafood, prepared from scratch and expertly seared over authentic local hardwoods such as hickory, oak, or pecan wood on a wood-fired grill. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years executive chef experience in a high volume full service restaurant
  • Butchering experience required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain composed
  • Strong motivation and self discipline
  • Commitment to professional presentation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years high volume, full service restaurant experience in an executive chef position
  • Warm, passionate, and committed to the industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, cool, and collected under pressure
  • Self-actualized and motivated
  • Self-discipline and maintained professional appearance
  • Butchering experience
  • Scratch kitchen experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage back of house team members, operations, and food production for the restaurant and FIREBAR
  • Train and develop sous chefs
  • Provide direction and training to team members by coaching, counseling, and providing feedback on job performance
  • Cross train team members and evaluate their skills to widen kitchen knowledge on each station
  • Supervise and participate in butchering and portion control on each shift
  • Create a positive environment that sets expectations for quality food and a clean, organized kitchen
  • Interview and hire back of house team members to maintain staffing goals
  • Order produce, seafood, and main food items
  • Conduct inventory bi-weekly in a team effort
  • Collaborate closely with managers in a team-driven kitchen environment
