Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume, fine dining or similar kitchen operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage food costs and labor efficiently
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and maintaining kitchen teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Willingness to relocate to San Francisco
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or senior kitchen leadership role
  • Background in operationally structured restaurant groups
  • Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management
  • Experience in team leadership and staff development
  • Culinary expertise in Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure high standards of food quality and consistency
  • Manage food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory control systems
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and kitchen systems
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff fostering a positive and accountable team culture
  • Coordinate menu development with a focus on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service
