Job Description

Our client is a distinguished fine dining establishment located in the heart of San Francisco, CA, launching a new upscale Middle Eastern culinary concept. This vibrant restaurant combines exquisite Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors with a refined dining experience aimed at delivering exceptional food quality and service. The company is recognized for its dedication to excellence and building strong culinary teams that balance artistic creativity with operational efficiency. This exciting new venture seeks to carve its niche in the competitive San Francisco restaurant market by showcasing unique, authentic cuisine with a modern twist. \n\nThe Executive Chef role is central to the success of this new restaurant concept. This is a full-time leadership position offering a competitive base salary of $120,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and relocation assistance up to $5,000. The Executive Chef will spearhead the culinary program from inception, managing menu development, staff recruitment, and all kitchen operations. This leader must combine culinary artistry with a structured, system-driven approach to running a high-volume kitchen that maintains the highest standards of food quality and consistency. The position calls for an individual with a proven track record in high-end, operationally structured restaurant groups who can translate that experience into building a world-class kitchen culture here in San Francisco. \n\nThis role requires not only hands-on execution skills but extensive strategic oversight capabilities. The Executive Chef will be responsible for developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), overseeing food cost controls, labor management, purchasing, inventory systems, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. A core element of the position is team development—building a cohesive, accountable kitchen team committed to excellence and continuous improvement. Candidates with experience or a strong interest in Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine will find this role particularly rewarding, as an informed appreciation of ingredients, culinary techniques, and cultural context is highly valued and encouraged. The successful candidate will be a versatile leader passionate about scaling quality operations without compromising creativity or consistency. \n\nOur client prides itself on fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, inviting qualified individuals from varied backgrounds to apply. With comprehensive benefits including health insurance coverage fully paid by the employer, a robust bonus scheme, and paid time off, this is a career-defining opportunity for chefs ready to make a significant mark in the culinary scene of San Francisco.
