Job Description
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a distinguished hospitality company renowned for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and employee well-being. Established in 2009 by industry visionary Steve Palmer, IRHG operates over 30 locations that encompass a variety of restaurant concepts and boutique hotels. The company’s ethos centers around treating hospitality not just as a job, but as a family, a lifestyle, and an exciting journey for both its employees and guests. IRHG takes pride in nurturing an environment where internal hospitality is paramount, believing that by investing in the people who work for them, they can create unforgettable experiences for their guests. This approach has fostered strong employee loyalty and internal growth opportunities, making IRHG a sought-after employer in the hospitality sector.
The Executive Chef role at The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is a dynamic and hands-on leadership position essential to driving the company’s culinary excellence and operational success. The Executive Chef is responsible for leading the kitchen team by example, working directly on the line, and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation. This role demands a passion for cooking, strong managerial skills, and financial acumen to effectively oversee all kitchen operations, including adherence to health and safety standards, inventory and quality control, and labor management. As an ambassador of IRHG, the Executive Chef must internalize and exemplify the company’s unique internal hospitality philosophy to enhance both staff experiences and guest satisfaction.
In this role, the Executive Chef will collaborate closely with the General Manager and corporate leadership to maximize kitchen performance and achieve profit and loss (P&L) goals. They will be pivotal in menu creation, staff development, and problem resolution, ensuring that every dish served leaves a lasting impression. A key responsibility includes sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients, often working with local farmers to maintain sustainability and freshness standards. The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary, quarterly performance bonuses, and generous paid time off after 90 days. Moreover, the company offers comprehensive health benefits, a 401K plan with a 50% match, a zero-interest home loan program, employee discounts, and family-focused paid leave policies. The job is ideally suited for a passionate, hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager to contribute to a forward-thinking hospitality group dedicated to changing the industry for the better.
