The Executive Chef position is an exciting full-time, onsite role located at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama, within the educational segment of Elior's operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining and elevating the culinary standards and experiences offered on campus. The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of culinary operations, including supervising food production, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, managing purchasing and food specifications, and optimizing meal preparation and service quality. Creativity, leadership, and a passion for delivering fresh, delicious, and healthy food options are essential qualities for success in this role.

Compensation for this role is up to $65,000 per year, dependent on experience, and comes with a comprehensive benefits package. As Executive Chef, you will also have the opportunity to participate in the planning and execution of special events, further enhancing community engagement and culinary innovation on campus. Job Requirements

  • At least three years of progressive culinary experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs
  • Experience with budget statements
  • Ability to work full-time onsite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Supervising the quality standards and practices of the food production process including purchasing food specifications meal preparation service and sanitation
  • Developing standardized recipes and utilizing other production tools to ensure food quality and cost objectives are met
  • Participating in the planning and execution of special events
  • Managing kitchen staff and scheduling
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitoring food inventory and controlling food costs
  • Creating a positive and motivating work environment
