Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly including food products and kitchen supplies
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in high-temperature environments including exposure to heat, steam, and open flames
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Five or more years of progressive culinary leadership experience required, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
  • Proven ability to manage food and labor costs effectively
  • Experience in menu development, banquet execution, and high-volume food production
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Oversee all kitchen operations including restaurants, banquets, catering, and room service
  • Develop and design menus that reflect brand standards, seasonal offerings, and guest preferences
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control across all outlets
  • Supervise, train, and develop kitchen team members to maintain high performance and engagement
  • Manage food and labor costs to meet budget and profitability goals
  • Maintain inventory levels and oversee ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards including local and state regulations
