The role of Senior Living Executive Chef at Pines of Newmarket is a unique leadership position responsible for managing all aspects of the dining program within the community. This full-time role offers highly competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and more. The Executive Chef will act as a community leader overseeing the food service program with a focus on exceptional customer service, quality, and resident satisfaction. This includes managing staffing, inventory, and budget controls, as well as actively engaging with residents to ensure a dining experience that meets and exceeds expectations. The position requires creating innovative menus that reflect regional tastes and accommodate dietary needs, all while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. To thrive in this position, candidates should have a minimum of seven years in food service with at least two years in a management capacity, alongside a preferred educational background, such as a BS or Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Physical demands of the job include frequent standing, walking, manual handling of materials up to 50 lbs, and other typical kitchen duties. Candidates committed to enriching the lives of seniors and eager for a meaningful career in senior living dining services will find this opportunity rewarding. Merrill Gardens fosters a stable and growing environment with opportunities for career advancement, tuition reimbursement, and a supportive company culture emphasizing work-life balance and employee wellness.
