Job Requirements

  • Ability to commute to Spokane Valley, WA 99216
  • willingness to relocate to Spokane Valley, WA before starting work
  • previous experience in culinary leadership or Executive Chef role
  • knowledge of Washington State Assisted Living regulations
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to manage kitchen operations
  • organizational skills
  • knowledge of food safety
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
  • strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and dietary operations preferably in healthcare or senior living
  • familiarity with Washington State Assisted Living food service regulations
  • demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing and developing teams
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • in-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage food services department under guidance of Dietary Director
  • foster strong relationships with intra- and interdepartmental teams
  • participate in and contribute to regular staff meetings to promote communication and teamwork
  • assist with employee evaluations
  • oversee food ordering and inventory while maintaining budgetary guidelines
  • plan, develop, implement, and evaluate menus and departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives
  • collaborate with consulting Director on menus, therapeutic diets, dietary needs, and kitchen compliance
