Known for its compassionate approach and commitment to resident well-being, Orchard Crest offers a supportive environment that fosters community and independence among its residents. The facility features a range of amenities and programs designed to enhance the quality of life for those it serves, including personalized care plans, recreational activities, and nutritional support. The team at Orchard Crest is composed of professionals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older adults, ensuring they experience comfort, dignity, and respect in every aspect of their daily living.

The Executive Chef at Orchard Crest plays a pivotal role within the Food Services Department, working under the guidance of the Director of Dietary Services. This full-time position, offering a competitive hourly wage of $22.00 to $24.00, is essential in planning, organizing, and directing all food service operations to meet the specific needs of assisted living residents. The Executive Chef is responsible not only for the culinary excellence and nutritional value of the meals served but also for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, particularly those pertaining to Washington State Assisted Living requirements.

This role involves leading kitchen operations with a hands-on approach to maintain the highest standards in food quality, safety, and sanitation. The Executive Chef collaborates closely with the consulting Director on menu development, therapeutic diets, and specialized dietary needs, ensuring each resident’s nutritional requirements are safely and accurately met. In addition to overseeing daily kitchen activities, this position requires effective inventory and budget management, team leadership including staff evaluations, and coordination with other community departments for special events.

Further responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, enforcing food safety protocols, and staying current with culinary trends and best practices. The Executive Chef is also tasked with accurate documentation such as temperature logs, food labeling, and storage compliance, which are critical to maintaining food safety standards and regulatory adherence. This leadership role offers an opportunity to positively impact the day-to-day dining experience of residents, contributing to their overall well-being and satisfaction.

Orchard Crest emphasizes a supportive and team-oriented work culture, valuing employees who are committed to excellence and compassionate service. The benefits package, available after 90 days of employment, includes medical, dental, vision insurance, and paid time off, among other perks. This position requires the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, reflecting the community’s dedication to providing consistent, high-quality food service around the clock. For culinary professionals eager to apply their expertise in a rewarding healthcare setting, the Executive Chef role at Orchard Crest presents a fulfilling career opportunity to lead, innovate, and enrich the lives of senior residents through exceptional food service.
