Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • hands-on chef experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and computer applications
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ability to manage budgets and control expenses

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • extensive catering experience preferred
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience desirable
  • hands-on chef experience required
  • comprehensive knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
  • proficient with Microsoft Office and Internet applications
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Lead daily culinary production in meal preparation and food quality
  • create decorative food displays and direction on menu development
  • monitor food freshness and maintain product consistency
  • research customer preferences and develop menus with local flavors
  • demonstrate cooking techniques and supervise food preparation staff
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • manage food inventory and control purchasing and receiving
  • participate in business strategy development and manage department budgets
  • analyze financial and operational data to meet budget objectives
  • schedule staff according to forecasted volume
  • create and support exceptional customer service and team training
  • handle guest problems and complaints
  • lead team meetings and establish employee performance goals
  • utilize open door policy and develop team engagement strategies
  • provide coaching and performance feedback
