Job Description
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a renowned hospitality company that embodies the spirit of community, care, and excellence. Founded in 2009 by Steve Palmer, IRHG has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry by prioritizing its people and fostering an environment where employees aren't just workers but part of a family. With over 30 locations and a growing portfolio that includes vibrant restaurants and boutique hotels, IRHG cherishes the concept of "Internal Hospitality," meaning the company's commitment to taking care of its team members so they, in turn, can provide exceptional service to guests. This philosophy has led to rapid growth, numerous job opportunities, and extensive benefits that make IRHG a desirable place to build a career in hospitality. The company offers internal growth opportunities, supports individuality, and encourages creativity and collaboration among its teams, making it a dynamic and inspiring workplace.
As an Executive Chef at The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, you will play a pivotal role in not only managing the kitchen but also setting a high standard for hospitality and culinary creativity. This role goes beyond typical chef responsibilities, as the Executive Chef is expected to be a hands-on leader who works alongside their team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and passion for quality food. The position requires overseeing all kitchen operations, including effective communication, problem-solving, inventory management, and ensuring health and safety standards are rigorously met. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with General Managers and home office leadership to optimize kitchen functions and surpass profit and loss goals.
The Executive Chef at IRHG is a true ambassador of the brand, embodying the company’s core value of Internal Hospitality through every aspect of their work. You will lead by example, shaping a motivated and creative team that consistently delivers memorable dining experiences. Your daily involvement in the culinary process, from menu creation to inventory and labor management, will contribute significantly to the financial success of the restaurant while maintaining high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate is someone with at least five years of kitchen management experience and a passion for hands-on cooking. You have a strong sense of finances and labor management, paired with a commitment to sourcing fresh, local ingredients. Your leadership style inspires and encourages your team, cultivating an environment where quality and service excellence are the norm. This role offers a competitive salary coupled with performance-based bonuses, and it comes with substantial benefits that reflect the company’s dedication to employee well-being, including health, wellness, financial planning, and family support.
Joining The Indigo Road Hospitality Group means becoming part of a movement to redefine the hospitality industry. IRHG is committed to equal opportunity employment and a workplace culture that values diversity, integrity, and respect. If you are motivated by culinary excellence, team leadership, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a respected hospitality group, this executive chef position is your next career step.
