The Executive Chef role at Topgolf Chattanooga is a critical leadership position within the venue operations team. This role is designed for a culinary professional who is not only passionate about food but also excels in managing kitchen operations and leading a diverse team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary activities, ensuring that every meal served meets Topgolf's high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise and strong leadership skills to inspire, coach, and develop the kitchen team, creating an environment where creativity and teamwork thrive.

The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including scheduling, inventory management, product ordering, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. This role involves strategic planning to control food and labor costs, recipe development, and standardization to ensure consistency across all culinary offerings. The chef will also work closely with upper management, vendors, and the Home Office Leadership to align culinary goals with the overall business objectives of the venue.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years culinary management experience
  • ability to develop and lead a team
  • bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree preferred
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lb
  • ability to stoop and bend
  • ability to work in high-temperature conditions up to 100 degrees for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years in culinary management
  • proven ability to develop a culinary team
  • bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree preferred
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience with inventory and budget management

Job Duties

  • Supervise the team in providing best-in-class culinary experiences
  • coach and develop the team and drive Associate engagement
  • delegate tasks and work with your team
  • demonstrate Topgolf’s core values: fun, one team, excellence, edgy spirit and caring
  • monitor inventory and purchase product
  • maintain food and labor costs according to budget, with a full understanding of COGS
  • select and develop recipes to corporate approval
