Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum four years experience as an executive chef in a high-volume resort or casino
  • knowledge of state health department regulations
  • food safety certification
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to supervise and train staff
  • reliable attendance
  • physical ability to meet job demands
  • willingness to work in a varied noise environment including smoke-filled areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • certification in culinary arts from an accredited institution preferred
  • associate's degree in culinary program preferred
  • four to six years experience as an executive chef in a high-volume resort or casino
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively to groups
  • ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • ability to analyze problems and draw valid conclusions

Job Duties

  • Perform excellent customer service at all times
  • supervise staffing, training, evaluating, and coordination of all food production employees
  • ensure all recipe and food apportionment specifications are met
  • maintain excellent kitchen hygiene conditions
  • control food and labor costs within approved budgets
  • ensure compliance with state health department regulations and food safety certification requirements
  • participate in venue meetings and facilitate communication between management and employees
