Known for its modern luxury and warm hospitality, this establishment offers sophisticated accommodations, elevated dining experiences, and a host of world-class amenities designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. The hotel prides itself on creating seamless and memorable experiences through attentive service and a refined atmosphere that appeals to discerning guests. As part of the globally recognized Marriott brand, the Dallas/Fort Worth Westlake property upholds standards of excellence and commitment to guest satisfaction that define Marriott's reputation worldwide.
The Executive Chef position at Marriott Westlake plays a critical role in maintaining the culinary excellence that the hotel is known for. Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, the Executive Chef oversees all aspects of the kitchen's operations, from the creative development of innovative and high-quality cuisine to managing the culinary team and controlling food costs. This leadership role requires a skilled professional who can balance creativity with operational efficiency, ensuring that guests receive an exceptional dining experience that contributes to increased market share and revenue growth. The Executive Chef supervises the sous chef and culinary staff and is responsible for hiring, training, motivating, and counseling employees to maintain a high-performance kitchen team.
This role demands attention to detail in all facets of food preparation and presentation, with a focus on delivering flavorful and visually appealing dishes that adhere to the hotel’s quality standards. The Executive Chef is also tasked with menu development, including seasonal specials and special event catering, while maintaining cost-effectiveness through diligent production and waste control. The position emphasizes a collaborative spirit, working closely with Food and Beverage Management to conduct product tastings and participate in culinary events and competitions that showcase the hotel’s culinary prowess.
In addition to culinary expertise, the Executive Chef must uphold the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations. The role involves maintenance oversight of kitchen equipment, troubleshooting operational challenges, and ensuring proper disposal of kitchen waste. Effective communication, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to scheduling and payroll management are essential for balancing the dynamic demands of the kitchen environment.
Being an Executive Chef at Marriott Westlake means joining a culture that values leadership, professionalism, and a guest-centered approach. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment and strives for culinary excellence while fostering a positive and motivating workplace for the entire kitchen team. Candidates with experience in high-volume cooking, particularly in hotel banquet settings, and those who have demonstrated leadership success in managing fine dining or hotel kitchen operations are highly encouraged to apply. The Executive Chef position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a distinguished brand and make a significant impact on the culinary offerings of the Marriott Dallas/Fort Worth Westlake.
