We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic Executive Chef to join our distinguished team. This full-time position commands a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 annually, based on experience, with additional income opportunities through commissions. The Executive Chef will lead all culinary operations within the club, including menu design, kitchen workflow management, food safety, and staff development. This is a high-responsibility role that requires expertise in fine dining and luxury hospitality culinary leadership, particularly within club and large event settings. The Executive Chef will be instrumental in continuing to elevate the club's dining standards and member satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and hands-on leader who can translate vision into daily excellence in kitchen operations. Duties will focus on optimizing peak-hour kitchen efficiency, developing comprehensive culinary playbooks, standardizing recipe documentation, and implementing rigorous allergen awareness and cross-contact controls. The role also emphasizes seasonal and local ingredient sourcing, sustainability initiatives, and innovative menu development including plant-forward options. The Executive Chef will collaborate cross-departmentally with events, marketing, and beverage teams to integrate food and wine programs and deliver exceptional dining experiences tailored to member preferences. Job Requirements
- culinary degree or equivalent training
- 8-12 plus years of progressive culinary leadership experience in club, luxury resort, or high-volume fine dining environments
- proven success in managing menu development, cost control, and large-scale kitchen operations
- experience in banquet and event meal service scalability
- mandatory certifications including ServSafe and California Food Handlers or Food Protection certification
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to collaborate effectively between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- willingness to engage in allergen awareness and management practices
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- expedited during peak hours, assigned the sous chef to coordinate kitchen workflow, communicate pace to stations, and ensure timely plating
- create a formal peak-hour playbook that outlines line checks, mise-en-place standards, station overlap timing, and contingency actions
- set up a high-demand express station to ease line congestion
- assign a named expediter or rotate a sous chef to provide expediting support during non-peak hours to maintain quality and consistency as activity rises or during banquet/club events
- create handoff protocols for continuity between shifts
- standardize pictorial menu boards for dish details and plating
- include key allergen indicators and ingredient photos on menu boards
