Job Description
Aramark is a leading global provider of food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries around the world. Rooted in a culture of service and united by a strong purpose, Aramark is committed to doing great things not only for its partners and communities but also for the planet. With a vision that every employee should enjoy equal employment opportunities and a workplace free of discrimination, Aramark embraces diversity and inclusion as core principles. The company offers meaningful career opportunities that foster talent development, fuel passion, and empower professional growth, making it an excellent workplace for individuals seeking new challenges, a sense of belonging, and supportive environments to reach their full potential. Employment at Aramark is characterized by an emphasis on respect, integrity, and teamwork.
The role of Executive Chef at Aramark is a high-profile leadership position focused on overseeing and managing all culinary operations at a specific location. This salaried or hourly management role offers a competitive compensation range between $98,000 and $110,000 per year, reflecting the importance and scope of this position within the organization. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of both salaried and hourly culinary staff to craft and deliver exceptional culinary experiences that satisfy diverse customer needs and preferences. Your leadership will ensure that all food production meets precise standards of quality, presentation, and service, while also adhering to Aramark's comprehensive safety and sanitation protocols.
The Executive Chef’s responsibilities include managing culinary operations to guarantee product consistency and excellence, applying advanced culinary techniques to prepare food, and shaping the final presentation and service to customers. In addition to day-to-day kitchen operations, this role involves planning and conducting training sessions and daily huddles to keep the team engaged and aligned with business goals. You will foster a positive work environment by coaching culinary staff, rewarding and recognizing achievements, and maintaining effective communication with both employees and guests.
A key aspect of this position is optimizing food and labor costs to ensure the operation meets financial targets while continuously striving for margin improvement through data analysis and trend monitoring. The Executive Chef will also handle procurement processes to ensure compliance with supplier policies and maintain accurate requisitioning based on estimated food consumption. Beyond operational excellence, this role requires a commitment to upholding Aramark’s food safety, quality assurance standards, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
This position offers participation in Aramark's robust benefits program, which includes medical, dental, vision coverage, work/life resources, and retirement savings plans like 401(k). Paid time off benefits—such as parental leave and disability coverage—are also available, contributing to a supportive work-life balance. All employees benefit from a dynamic work environment that values growth, innovation, and collaboration, making the Executive Chef role both challenging and highly rewarding. The role does not have a predetermined application window and will remain open until a qualified candidate is selected, ensuring that the best talent is identified to contribute to Aramark's ongoing success.
