Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen leadership role
- Proven track record of managing high-volume kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Jackson, MS
Job Qualifications
- Culinary expertise in menu development, food preparation, and plating techniques
- Experience in kitchen management, team leadership, and staff training
- Ability to manage inventory, control food costs, and maintain supplier relationships
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen preferred
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus
Job Duties
- Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality
- Lead the kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Develop innovative and creative menus inspired by Mediterranean and Southern cuisine
- Manage inventory to maintain adequate stock while minimizing waste
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Control food costs and collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients
- Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment that promotes teamwork and professional development
