As part of the ISS Group, ISS Facility Services operates with a strong emphasis on resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability across its international community. The company is dedicated to making workplaces safer, healthier, and more efficient while fostering an environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equitable opportunities for all employees.
The Executive Chef role at ISS Facility Services, specifically within the Guckenheimer operated campus cafes, is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all back-of-house culinary operations. This role focuses on ensuring exceptional client and guest satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and workplace cleanliness. Working closely with the General Manager, the Executive Chef plays a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the dining facilities by implementing culinary best practices, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
In this position, the Executive Chef is expected to uphold ISS and Guckenheimer’s stringent guidelines for kitchen organization, food safety, and menu management. They will actively monitor compliance with HACCP regulations, workplace safety protocols, and internal audit procedures, aiming to consistently achieve and maintain top audit scores. Responsible for menu creation using the Net Menu system, the Executive Chef ensures that all recipes are seasonally relevant, regionally inspired, plant-forward when possible, and aligned with client-specific programming.
The role also entails hands-on culinary leadership including recipe preparation, quality control, and accurate portioning during various meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. The Executive Chef manages inventory and procurement processes to maintain budget adherence while ensuring ingredient accuracy and availability. A key part of their responsibility is to lead, train, and develop back-of-house staff, fostering a safe and efficient work environment that supports continuous improvement and professional growth.
Additionally, the Executive Chef acts as a liaison between culinary teams and broader leadership, participating in meetings to communicate challenges, opportunities, and successes. They are accountable for supporting all company procurement standards and ensuring that all operations comply with established policies and directives. The role offers an annual salary range of $100,000 to $115,000, reflecting the candidate’s experience and skills.
This position demands a highly motivated individual with a passion for customer service, strong communication skills, dependability, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Candidates with a culinary degree from an accredited institution and experience managing successful restaurants or corporate dining facilities are preferred. Certification in SERV Safe or the willingness to obtain it is also required.
ISS Facility Services / Guckenheimer is proud to offer full-time employees comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, alongside a robust leave program. The company also maintains a strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality standards, ensuring a compliant and secure workplace for all.
