Job Description

HSS Hospitality Staffing Solutions (HSS) is recognized as the largest national hospitality staffing company serving over 900 hotels across the United States. With a longstanding commitment to excellence and quality service, HSS has earned the trust and respect of premier hotel brands and hospitality clients nationwide. The company specializes in connecting highly skilled hospitality professionals with top-tier employers, ensuring the best talent finds the right opportunities. Their expertise in the hospitality recruitment sector positions them as a leader, known for reliability and effective talent placement in a competitive market.

HSS is currently seeking a High Volume Executive Chef specializing in Design & Development of Chinese Cuisine to join their Culinary Design & Innovation team based at their headquarters in Irving, Texas. This is a direct hire position offering an annual salary range of $100,000 to $110,000, with additional performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in high-volume food production environments such as airline catering, commissary operations, corporate dining, or large-scale food manufacturing rather than traditional restaurant settings.

This Executive Chef role is integral to creating innovative and authentic Chinese cuisine menus tailored specifically for global airline partners. The position requires a culinary expert who blends creativity with operational efficiency and food safety expertise, delivering scalable menu solutions suitable for the demands of airline catering and large-scale batch cooking. Responsibilities include designing menus, developing detailed recipes and yield specifications, conducting cost analysis, overseeing compliance with food safety regulations such as HACCP and FDA standards, and leading culinary training programs across multiple locations. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that product quality and consistency are maintained throughout the production and delivery process.

This position demands strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support presentations and implementation of new menus. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in authentic Chinese cuisine within high-volume production contexts, with a culinary degree or equivalent training preferred. The role is ideal for a professional passionate about culinary innovation in large-scale food manufacturing, who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments that require precision planning and effective team mentoring.

Joining this team means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization committed to culinary innovation and operational excellence. The chosen Executive Chef will play a vital role in enhancing the culinary offerings for airline customers around the world, helping the company maintain its reputation for outstanding food quality and customer service in the hospitality staffing industry.
