The Executive Chef role at Vi is a rare and exciting leadership opportunity for a highly skilled culinary professional. This position involves directing all aspects of daily kitchen food production, supporting special events, and managing outside catering functions. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in Food & Beverage management
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • Culinary Arts Degree preferred
  • current state health and sanitation certification required
  • ability to supervise, hire, train, and motivate staff
  • knowledge of basic nutrition and healthy cooking techniques
  • skilled in Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • effective communication and team-building skills
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Executive Chef (CEC) is a plus or ability to become preferred
  • valid driver's license where applicable
  • current CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain

Job Qualifications

  • experience in high-end restaurant, club, hotel, or senior living company
  • knowledge of budgets, reporting, training, and staff management
  • familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • Culinary Arts Degree preferred

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) designation a plus
  • ability to become CDM and Certified Executive Chef (CEC) preferred
  • valid driver's license
