Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent
  • Seven plus years managing high volume commercial kitchens
  • Current sanitation certification or must obtain within 6 months
  • Safe food handling certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Skilled in staff management and kitchen operations
  • Proficient in computer applications related to inventory and purchasing

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • Current or obtained sanitation certification within 6 months

  • Over seven years managing fast-paced commercial kitchens

Job Duties

  • Supervises and oversees kitchen staff in meal preparation and service following standard recipes and portion sizes
  • Assists in preparation and service for special occasions and interdepartmental needs
  • Directs daily food production operations including menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, and equipment provision
  • Oversees preparation, garnishing, presentation, and safe storage of food
  • Orders food and equipment
  • Ensures kitchen, storage, equipment, and dining areas are sanitary, neat, and organized
  • Trains chefs and staff on culinary skills and compliance standards
  • Supervises daily work activities by delegating and prioritizing tasks
  • Provides feedback and performance evaluations to kitchen staff
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • Establishes safe work environments and enforces safety and loss prevention programs
  • Monitors cleaning and sanitation procedures and documentation
  • Manages budgets by controlling labor, inventory, and materials costs
  • Implements operational quality improvements and communicates standards to staff
