Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 10+ years relevant culinary experience in hotel and independent restaurants
- demonstrated leadership in culinary operations
- ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 35 pounds
- willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong communication skills in English
- proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- ability to work at multiple locations within the property
- commitment to maintaining professional appearance and manner
- capacity to multi-task, delegate, and manage daily operations effectively
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in hotel and independent restaurant culinary operations
- strong leadership and team management skills
- proven ability to coach and mentor staff
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- experience with sanitation and safety compliance
- proficiency in financial analysis and profit and loss management
- ability to manage multiple culinary units and events
- advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite preferred
- demonstrated track record in business results and team motivation
- effective conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
- capability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- professional appearance and demeanor
Job Duties
- Oversee all culinary operations
- manage sous chefs and kitchen staff including selection, training, and supervision
- act as coach and mentor providing performance reviews and feedback
- monitor and train staff in sanitation and safety procedures
- ensure daily production meets event guidelines and presentation standards
- conduct regular kitchen walk-throughs and food tastings
- collaborate with Banquet Chef on event orders and presentation
- assist Director of Food and Beverage with menu development and culinary information sharing
- monitor cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- lead and motivate teams to achieve business objectives
- work with corporate partners on complex business problems and initiatives
- communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- advise and counsel staff while resolving conflicts
- analyze restaurant profit and loss
- maintain a professional appearance and behavior
- manage flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- provide inspirational leadership during day-to-day operations
- recruit and retain culinary team members
- create and execute innovative culinary programs and events
- ensure compliance with sanitation guidelines and safety standards
- collaborate on financial strategy, forecasting, and revenue generation
- undertake additional tasks and assignments as required
