The role of Executive Chef at Biaggi's is designed for a motivated, creative, and reliable culinary professional who is passionate about the culinary arts and possesses strong leadership capabilities. In this role, the Executive Chef will be responsible for creating exceptional culinary experiences that exceed guest expectations. They will oversee the restaurant’s kitchen operations, lead hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of kitchen staff, and ensure adherence to the highest standards in food preparation, presentation, safety, and sanitation. The Executive Chef must maintain operational efficiency by monitoring inventory, controlling costs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained to optimal standards. The ideal candidate is someone with a minimum of three years’ experience as an Executive Chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant setting, demonstrating advanced culinary skills and knowledge of industry safety and sanitation standards. This role requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as well as the capacity to travel for management training. Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • ability to work 45-55 hour work weeks with varying hours
  • ability to work a variety of morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night shifts
  • high level of physical stamina to work on feet for extended periods
  • must be able to stand, sit, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds
  • flexibility to travel away from home for 35-45 days for management training

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 3 years of experience as an executive chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
  • current food safety and sanitation certification
  • advanced culinary skills including food preparation and cooking best practices
  • strong knowledge of restaurant industry operations, safety, and sanitation standards
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
