Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One to four years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
- Ability to read and implement safety policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, telephone, and writing
- Ability to develop and manipulate accounting concepts
- Ability to define problems, collect data and develop solutions
- May require franchise specific certification
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively
- Ability to work in environments with temperature extremes and mechanical parts
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One to four years of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports
- Effective communication skills in person, telephone, and writing
- Ability to understand and apply safety policies and procedures
- Strong mathematical skills including budgeting and cost analysis
- Problem-solving and planning skills
- Franchise-specific certification may be required
Job Duties
- Supervises and coordinates activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel
- Hires, schedules, orients, trains and develops workers on job duties, food production, sanitation, safety, guest satisfaction, and KHC/franchise policies
- Cooks and carves meats, and prepares dishes during rush periods, banquets, and social functions
- Plans or participates in menu planning, food preparation, and portion control to prevent waste
- Supervises kitchen cleanliness and ensures sanitation guidelines are met
- Tastes and observes food for quality, appearance, and guest satisfaction
- Supervises inventory, storage, and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies
- Inventories and purchases foodstuffs, kitchen supplies, and equipment
- Assists in kitchen budget development and pricing of food items
- Coordinates with sales staff and clients to resolve menu issues and plan special occasion menus
