Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary leadership role preferably as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Demonstrated mastery of kitchen operations including inventory control, food costing, staff scheduling, and budget management
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • A profound passion for producing top-tier food and commitment to quality and detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Capability to comprehend and explain Chipotle's philosophy centered around Food With Integrity
  • Skillful in the primary language(s) commonly spoken at the place of work
  • Meeting the educational requirement includes having a high school diploma or its equivalent

Job Duties

  • A critical aspect of this position is to oversee the quality and safety of the food cooked at Chipotle, involving tasks like grilling proteins, stir-frying vegetables, purchasing ingredients, mentoring potential managers, and upholding cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Your role is essential in promoting teamwork and maintaining the highest standards for food preparation and customer satisfaction
  • Sustain food excellence through precise cooking and preparation of dishes as requested, adhering to kitchen procedures
  • Ensure proper oversight of food waste and inventory levels, addressing any concerns about food quality when necessary
  • Nurture a positive team dynamic between the back-end and customer-facing employees
  • Help cultivate crew members' skills and qualities essential for kitchen leadership roles
  • Achieve optimal customer service and operational efficiency through effective communication with Crew members and patrons
  • Ensure the kitchen area is kept spotless and sanitized

  • It is essential to observe and implement safety precautions to uphold a secure setting and avoid accidents
  • It is important to comply with regulations by accurately completing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and implementing Inventory Rotation based on the First In, First Out (FIFO) principle
