The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington is recognized as one of the premier Hilton properties in North America, known for its dedication to exceptional guest experiences and outstanding service. Located conveniently in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, just 10 minutes from the Mall of America, this full-service hotel offers a perfect blend of contemporary style and comfort for both business and leisure travelers. With 256 beautifully appointed guestrooms, the hotel features acclaimed dining venues such as the Bloomington ChopHouse, the Olive Lounge, and a convenient Starbucks Grab & Go. Its extensive meeting and event spaces further enhance its reputation as a top destination for visitors and events in the region. Joining the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington means becoming part of a legacy that combines luxury accommodations with an unwavering commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. The hotel is a division of The Marcus Corporation's Marcus Hotels & Resorts, which boasts a 60-year history of operational and service excellence. As a team member, you will be part of a company culture that values "People Pleasing People," striving daily to deliver extraordinary experiences for guests and associates alike. This emphasis on people and quality has established the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington as a leader in the hospitality industry, with opportunities for career growth and development across a growing portfolio of 16 hotels and resorts in the United States. The Executive Chef position at the Hilton Bloomington is a highly dynamic and critical role focused on maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing top-tier dishes that meet rigorous standards for taste, presentation, and quality. Beyond cooking, this role demands strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff effectively through interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising activities related to productivity and cost control. The Executive Chef will actively listen to both client and staff feedback, implement improvements, and facilitate strong communication throughout the kitchen team to foster a positive and efficient working environment. Operational responsibilities include closely monitoring staff performance, product quality, and workflow to encourage continuous improvement. This role also requires auditing inventory regularly, enforcing health and safety regulations, and ensuring the kitchen maintains strict cleanliness standards. Building solid relationships with vendors is essential to guarantee consistent food quality and supply. The Executive Chef should remain abreast of culinary trends by exploring local and regional dining establishments to infuse innovative ideas into the hotel’s menu offerings. During peak periods and special events, the Executive Chef will oversee food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations to ensure seamless service delivery. Occasionally, the role involves other duties as assigned, all contributing to the hotel's reputation for excellence in hospitality. This position offers a competitive salary in the $90,000 to $95,000 range annually. Besides the rewarding challenge of culinary leadership in a prestigious hotel environment, team members enjoy numerous benefits such as paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, employee assistance programs, 401k with employer match, and more. If you are a passionate culinary professional with at least two years of Executive Chef experience and a strong grasp of international and domestic dishes, ready to work in a fast-paced, upscale hotel kitchen, the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington invites you to be part of their dedicated team pursuing culinary distinction and exceptional guest experiences.
