Positioned as an Executive Chef 1 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX, this role offers an exciting opportunity within the hospital food service sector. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations with a particular focus on enhancing the patient dining experience. Given that Del Sol Medical Center operates under Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the largest for-profit healthcare provider in the United States, this position offers the chance to work within a dynamic and expanding healthcare network. The role involves managing culinary systems and procedures, recruiting and mentoring front-line kitchen staff, and controlling procurement and purchasing tasks. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for creating menus that meet client needs and introducing innovative ideas in retail, catering, and patient food services to elevate overall satisfaction.

This full-time position invites candidates with a strong culinary background, experience in menu planning, and a management track record. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to develop processes and solve problems independently are essential. The role requires proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of food safety standards such as ServSafe and HAACP. Candidates holding a Certified Executive Chef (C.E.C.) credential will have an added advantage. Compensation is competitive and aligned with the candidate’s experience, skills, education, and training. Sodexo offers an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision care, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and tuition reimbursement, contributing to the overall professional and personal growth of the Executive Chef.

Joining Sodexo at Del Sol Medical Center means becoming part of an organization dedicated to excellence and patient-centered service. The Executive Chef role contributes directly to enhancing the hospital’s culinary services, focusing on quality, innovation, and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for leaders passionate about food, healthcare, and team development who aspire to make a tangible difference in a critical service environment.
