The Executive Chef position at Sodexo, based at the UH Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, offers a dynamic leadership role within a healthcare setting. The chosen candidate will be entrusted with overseeing the patient dining program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals with a focus on 100 percent tray accuracy. This role entails managing all culinary systems and procedures, spearheading food safety and training initiatives, and collaborating closely with internal and external clients to provide excellent catering services. The Executive Chef will lead a small unit, taking charge of menu planning, procurement, purchasing, and implementing fresh, innovative ideas to both retail and catering operations.   • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience
  • minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts

Job Duties

  • Implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for patient dining
  • be responsible for Food and Physical Safety and annual training for all hourly associates
  • work directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
  • provide culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and frontline staff management and training
  • procurement and purchasing
  • create menus based on client needs
  • implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail and catering
