Sodexo is seeking a skilled Executive Chef to lead the culinary program for an independent school located in Kansas City, Missouri. You will oversee all culinary operations at the school, from purchasing and inventory management to food production forecasting and cost analysis. Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in food or culinary services
- Ability to lead and motivate a culinary team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience with automated food inventory and management systems
- Commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
- Strong culinary background with ability to stay current with new culinary trends
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong coaching and employee development skills
- Passion for food and innovation
Job Duties
- Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
- Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
- Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
