Colorado Academy, located on an exceptional 96-acre campus in Denver, Colorado, is a prestigious private pre-K through 12 college preparatory school known for its academic excellence and vibrant community. The role of Executive Chef 1 at Colorado Academy represents a unique opportunity for a creative and food-focused culinary professional who values work-life balance. Job Requirements

  • Minimum education requirement - associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum management experience - 2 years
  • Minimum functional experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts

Job Duties

  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
