Job Description
Our client, a prestigious and well-established private household based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Executive Assistant to join their team. This role requires an individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing high-level personal and professional demands for an executive household. The client is known for maintaining multiple properties, including locations in Palm Springs, Aspen, San Francisco, and West Marin County, CA, which demands flexibility and travel readiness. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a private principal, providing essential support to ensure the smooth operation of both household and business affairs. The employment type for this role is full-time, with a competitive annual salary ranging from $170,000 to $175,000. The Executive Assistant will be on-site at the client’s residence in San Francisco, providing a hybrid working experience limited to physical presence, especially when coordinating household activities and managing face-to-face interactions with staff and external partners.
The Executive Assistant position is a pivotal role within the household, responsible for managing complex calendars, coordinating travel logistics, and serving as the main point of contact for all household members. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be entrusted with managing email correspondence discreetly, maintaining schedules that balance personal, household, and business commitments, and collaborating with a network of household staff and external vendors to ensure seamless function and communication. Opportunities to travel with the principal to various properties require the candidate to be adaptable and prepared for occasional evenings and weekends, reflecting the needs of a high-profile household.
In addition to traditional executive assistant duties, this role encompasses managing social media activities, drafting content, and monitoring engagement to support the principal's presence and initiatives. Event planning for everything from intimate family gatherings to larger-scale social functions is a significant responsibility, highlighting the need for a candidate with strong interpersonal and project management skills. The Executive Assistant will also handle personal errands meticulously, manage online shopping and returns, and partner with other key household figures, such as the principal’s wife’s assistant, to coordinate larger family projects and initiatives. The role also involves supporting household operations, including inventory management, organization, and ensuring that the residences are maintained to the highest standards. This position requires up to 25% travel, underscoring the importance of flexibility and reliable logistical coordination.
