Job Description

HHS is a private, family-owned business that has been dedicated to caring for its team members and providing honest, quality-driven customer service since its founding in 1975 as Hospital Housekeeping Systems. Now operating on a much larger scale, HHS supplies housekeeping, food, and facility management services to nearly 1,000 customers spanning six different industries. The company stands out for its deep commitment to workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow personally and professionally. As a rapidly expanding organization, HHS is actively looking for motivated leaders to join their team and help take the company to the next stage of growth. The company strongly supports internal career advancement and believes in cultivating countless future leaders from within.

The role being offered is a leadership position within HHS's culinary team, which supports the healing journey for patients and their loved ones through the delivery of high-quality food service in health care environments. This role combines the passion for culinary arts with a respect for great food and a unique chef-led philosophy. The position offers the opportunity to enjoy most nights and weekends off, providing a balanced work-life dynamic. It is an engaging and rewarding role focused on developing creative menus that align with market trends, managing a motivated and high-performing team, and ensuring quality control and compliance with health and safety standards. The salary plan for this position is $101,000 annually. Responsibilities include team leadership, recruiting, training and development, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.

This position requires not only fulfilling the culinary and operational functions but also driving a team culture that fosters morale, passion, and respect. The leader will manage forecasting, recipe costing, inventory, ordering, production, planning, schedules, payroll, and supplies to ensure the unit operates within budgetary constraints. Additionally, compliance with industry regulatory agencies such as OSHA, The Joint Commission, and HACCP procedures is a key aspect of the job. The ideal candidate will have strong kitchen skills including knife techniques and live-action cooking, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a service-focused mentality, professionalism, sound decision-making, proactivity, teamwork, and business ethics. The role is designed for professionals eager to grow their career and income in a supportive environment while positively impacting the wellbeing of healthcare patients through nutritious and well-prepared food service.
