Aramark is currently seeking an Environmental Services Worker Lead to join their Facility Services team. This position involves providing leadership and supervision to hourly employees responsible for environmental and sanitation services within client facilities. The role requires hands-on participation in cleaning and maintenance tasks while simultaneously managing the performance and productivity of team members during shifts and events. The Environmental Services Worker Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency are met or exceeded.

The lead is responsible for coordinating supply and equipment distribution, assisting with employee sign-ins, and supporting supervisors with operational tasks. The role demands a proactive approach to quality control by assessing public restrooms and on-call rooms, adhering strictly to sanitation procedures, and complying with OSHA regulations and company standards. In addition to hands-on work, the lead oversees employee conduct, safety practices, and adherence to client contracts. They are required to maintain accurate records related to quality control and compliance.

Training, coaching, and motivating staff are important elements of the position to maintain high standards and improve team performance. The Environmental Services Worker Lead must be able to troubleshoot operational inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans, ensuring smooth service delivery. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in environmental services
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Commitment to complying with OSHA and other regulatory standards

Job Qualifications

  • Requires 1-2 years of experience in environmental services
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively
  • Ability to apply elementary math functions
  • Ability to work well under time constraints
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions and work independently after appropriate training and instruction
  • Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude towards customers, co-workers, and clients

Job Duties

  • Assists management and supervisors at beginning and end of shift with sign-in, supplies, equipment sign out and sign in
  • Assist shift operation in the preparation and delivery of supplies necessary to help ensure all employees' needs are met
  • May need to perform overall assessment of public restrooms and on-call rooms
  • Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures
  • Report all employee issues (safety, injuries, and disciplinary)
  • Supervises all staff assignments to ensure efficient and high-quality cleaning services
  • Responsible for formulating action plans to correct inefficiencies and quality discrepancies
