Job Description
The hiring establishment is a professional cleaning and environmental services company that specializes in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within hospitality, healthcare, commercial, and residential environments. This company prides itself on delivering meticulous cleaning services through a dedicated team of Environmental Services (EVS) professionals who are trained in the latest industry techniques and safety standards. With a focus on providing outstanding customer service, safety compliance, and operational efficiency, the company stands as a trusted partner to its clientele, ensuring environments are not only visually clean but also safe and sanitary. The company operates with a strong commitment to employee development, equipping team members with the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed in a dynamic work environment. Employees are often valued for their flexibility and professionalism, contributing to a workplace culture that emphasizes collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
This role involves a leadership position within the EVS department, designed to assist EVS Managers with the supervision and operational support of the entire department. The role requires a hands-on approach to overseeing daily functions including staffing management, maintenance of records, and ensuring that all environmental service staff have access to the necessary equipment to efficiently complete their tasks. The position also engages in actual cleaning and general maintenance activities, providing a practical example and support to the team. Additionally, the role includes a significant customer service component requiring the individual to respond professionally and positively to guest inquiries, thereby contributing to enhanced guest experiences.
The incumbent will serve as both a supervisory figure and a frontline worker, providing clear direction and guidance while demonstrating proper techniques and safety standards. The ability to interpret and apply knowledge related to equipment usage, chemical handling, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures is critical. The work schedule may require flexibility to cover various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and possess the physical capability to handle demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, as well as working in varied and sometimes challenging environmental conditions including heat, cold, and confined spaces.
Overall, this opportunity is ideal for motivated individuals who are looking to grow in their EVS career within a reputable company that values both employee safety and guest satisfaction. The position offers a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities along with physical and environmental demands that make it well-suited to applicants who thrive in active, engaging, and varied work settings. The company supports reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions, underscoring its commitment to inclusive employment practices.
