Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital setting, preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Willingness to work in a healthcare environment exposed to cleaning chemicals, body fluids, and communicable diseases

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital setting, preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Comply with proper handling and use of EVS chemicals and equipment
  • Ensure EVS supply cart is filled with necessary materials at the beginning and end of shift
  • Learn Teletracking software and use approved electronic devices
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash and waste material
  • Replenish disposable items such as soap, paper towel, and toilet paper
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and furniture
  • Clean up spills
  • Dust high areas
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment as needed
  • Provide positive interactions with patients, visitors, and staff
