The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor position is a crucial role within the hospitality and casino resort industry, specifically in a high-volume property. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity for a high-volume property preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Previous experience in a resort casino environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of all cleaning products and where they should be used
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30 Certification

Job Duties
- Upholds and complies within established standards at all times
- Assigns duties to department employees and inspects their work to ensure that standards are maintained
- Conducts detailed inspections of rooms and public areas daily
- Inspects offices, hallways and staircases for cleanliness and maintenance
- Prepares and inspects all VIP areas
- Inspects cleaning carts and all equipment for proper use and cleanliness
- Coordinates and inspects preventative maintenance and general cleaning
- Coordinates work orders with the Engineering Department and follows up until completion
- Conducts daily pre-shift meetings with EVS attendants and Heavy Duty Porters
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping services and equipment and takes corrective action
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers and oversees proper usage
- Ensures employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines
- Prepares, maintains, and submits essential paperwork and reports
- Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of all chemicals and equipment used by the department
- Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and counseling and other personnel matters are handled appropriately
- Facilitates and ensures performance reviews of all employees within department are complete on a yearly basis
- Participates in training new hires and monitors their progress
- Performs other tasks as assigned
