Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • strong attention to detail
  • effective communication skills
  • adaptability to changing work demands

Job Duties

  • Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • maintain all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner
  • inspect and use judgment in determining appropriate cleaning techniques
  • demonstrate efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions
  • disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides and sterilizing equipment
  • diligently employ universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials
  • keep cleaning cart properly stocked with equipment and supplies
  • promote effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships
  • assist in improving productivity and efficient operations of the department
  • demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competence by adhering to training commitments
