Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our dedicated team. This role is vital in maintaining the pristine condition of all public areas, restrooms, and back-of-the-house spaces within the resort and casino. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The Cleaner will be responsible for performing various cleaning duties such as vacuuming carpets, dust mopping marble floors, cleaning slot machines and banks, mopping hard floors, emptying trash, managing restrooms, and assisting guests with directions and information about services available within the resort and casino. Safety is of utmost importance; therefore, the candidate must adhere to all safety procedures regarding the use of chemicals, equipment, and signage to ensure a safe environment for everyone on the property.

This position requires the ability to work in potentially noisy and crowded environments, with physical mobility that includes bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, and lifting items up to six feet high. Additionally, the Cleaner must possess normal sensory abilities including smell, touch, sound, and vision, as well as hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Above average communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are essential for success in this role. Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand written English to read caution signs, safety notices, chemicals and supervisor's instructions
  • Must comply with all company and departmental rules, policies and procedures
  • Work may be performed in noisy and crowded areas
  • Physical mobility including bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, and lifting items from floor level to six feet high
  • Normal sensory abilities including smell, touch, sound and vision range
  • Eye hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • Work area subject to variable temperatures
  • May be exposed to smoking environment and moderate noise
  • Schedule flexibility including days off, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand written English including caution signs, safety notices, chemicals and supervisors' instructions
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
  • Knowledge of use, cleaning, and breakdown of equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Above average speech, reading and writing English

Job Duties

  • Perform cleaning duties in all public areas, restrooms and back of the house areas which include but are not limited to vacuuming carpets, dust mopping marble, cleaning slot machines, slot banks, carousel banks, countertops, mopping hard floors, emptying trash, cleaning ashtrays, pan sweeping floors, cleaning offices, cleaning toilets, sinks, countertops, fixtures, stalls, changing paper products, liquid hand soap
  • Adhere to all appropriate safety precautions including proper use of equipment and protective attire
  • Report accidents and safety problems to supervisor immediately
  • Notify guests and employees of safety hazards by placing proper signage
  • Ensure chemicals are properly dispensed, labeled and transported safely
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and kept clean
  • Promptly report any needed repairs including equipment, carpet, tile, wallpaper, wood columns, chandeliers, sink, toilets, urinals, faucets
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Assist guests with directions and services available within the Resort Casino

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
