Job Requirements
- Work may be performed in an area which may be unusually noisy and crowded
- Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing and lifting items from floor level to six feet high
- Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range
- Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Work area is subject to variable temperatures
- May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise
Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand written English including caution signs, safety notices, chemicals, and supervisor's instructions
- Must be able to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
- Knowledge of use, cleaning, and breakdown of equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning duties in all public areas including restrooms and back of the house which includes vacuuming carpets, dust mopping marble surfaces, cleaning slot machines and banks, countertops, mopping hard floors, emptying trash, cleaning ashtrays, pan sweeping floors, cleaning offices, cleaning toilets, sinks, countertops, fixtures, stalls, changing paper products and liquid hand soap
- Adhere to all appropriate safety precautions including proper use of equipment and protective attire
- Report accidents and safety problems to supervisor immediately
- Notify guests and employees of safety hazards by placing proper signage
- Ensure chemicals are properly dispensed, labeled, and transported safely
- Ensure all equipment used is functioning properly and kept clean
- Promptly report any needed repairs including equipment, carpet, tile, wallpaper, wood columns, chandeliers, sinks, toilets, urinals, faucets
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and assist guests with directions and services available within the resort and casino
