Job Description

HonorHealth is one of Arizona's largest nonprofit healthcare systems, serving a population of over five million people in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. This extensive healthcare network includes six acute-care hospitals, an extensive medical group offering primary, specialty, and urgent care services, a dedicated cancer care network, outpatient surgery centers, clinical research facilities, medical education programs, a foundation, an accountable care organization, and a variety of community services. With nearly 17,000 team members, 3,700 affiliated providers, and close to 2,000 volunteers, HonorHealth is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare experiences that go beyond the expectations of a traditional healthcare system. The organization aims to improve the health and well-being of communities across Arizona through innovative care, community engagement, and a strong commitment to excellence. At HonorHealth, employees are part of a collaborative team focused on creating a multi-dimensional and patient-centered care experience. The hospital emphasizes the importance of service, safety, and value in all aspects of patient care and operational processes. Through programs like the Ambassador Movement, robust training and development opportunities, and an inclusive work environment, HonorHealth encourages team members to select where and how they want to make an impact. Additionally, HonorHealth offers a diverse portfolio of benefits designed to support the well-being of team members and their families, including medical, dental, retirement plans, and more. The organization values diversity, inclusion, and a culture of continuous improvement that supports both employee growth and patient satisfaction. The Environmental Services Manager position at HonorHealth’s Osborn Medical Center is a full-time, day shift role predominantly from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, with some weekend work as needed. This leadership role is critical in maintaining and continuously improving the environmental services (EVS) operating model within the facility. The manager oversees daily operations of the department to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and aesthetics for patients, visitors, and staff alike. By providing strong leadership and direction, the Environmental Services Manager supports the hospital’s mission and vision while fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes patient-centered care, safety compliance, and quality service delivery. This role involves staff management, including scheduling, training, and development, along with budget management and quality improvement initiatives. The manager acts as a liaison across departments to swiftly address concerns, coordinates resources and equipment needs, and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to waste management and hygiene standards. Critical responsibilities also include evaluating new materials for hygiene maintenance, managing subcontractors and vendors, and serving as a subject matter expert in environmental services, regulatory compliance, and training. Strong computer skills and proficiency with database systems are important, with some preference for bilingual candidates. This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, leadership experience in hospital EVS operations, and a valid driver’s license. Overall, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the patient and community experience by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in one of Arizona’s leading healthcare organizations.
