Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or 4 years' work related experience
Minimum 3 years' leadership experience in hospital EVS operations management
Valid driver's license
Willingness to work some weekends
Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
Strong computer and communication skills

Job Qualifications

Minimum 3 years leadership experience in hospital EVS management
Proficiency with computer operations and database systems
Experience in staff development and performance management
Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in healthcare
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred bilingual abilities

Job Duties

Provide leadership and management oversight for environmental services within the facility
Communicate regularly with team members through meetings and informal interactions
Manage scheduling, staffing coverage, and cross-training for the department
Inspect environmental cleanliness and ensure customer satisfaction through daily rounds
Oversaw departmental budget for capital, supplies, and operations
Ensure medical waste is handled and disposed of according to federal and state regulations
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors and manage emergency on-call services
Conduct staff hiring, development, disciplinary actions, and performance monitoring
Implement quality improvement initiatives including training, auditing, and inspections
Serve as subject matter expert for environmental services, regulatory compliance, and training
Use computer programs effectively for reporting, communication, and data management
Promote a culture of safety, hand hygiene, patient experience, engagement, and retention
