This particular role is an Environmental Services position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall hygiene of various medical and patient care areas within Abrazo Arrowhead Campus. The Environmental Services team plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital’s mission to provide a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires dedication to detail and the ability to perform cleaning functions efficiently, following prescribed methods and safety protocols. Employees in this position also manage the distribution and removal of linens and waste, ensure assigned equipment is clean and operational, and assist in moving furniture or equipment as directed.

Job Requirements

GED with ability to read, write and understand the English language
2 years work in environmental services in lieu of education
Prior cleaning experience
2 years of experience in hospitality or healthcare setting
May substitute domestic experience

Job Duties

Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas using prescribed methods
Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and have repairs made when necessary
Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
Accounts for cleanliness and neat appearance of assigned areas
Follows department and hospital policies and procedures
Learns other functions or positions to ensure satisfactory operation of the department/work unit or to permit flexible staffing assignments
Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment and to perform duties and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Other related tasks or responsibilities assigned
