Job Requirements
- Two or more years of related healthcare environmental services experience
- leadership skills
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently
- role model in customer service, safety, and infection control
- ability to work dayshift Wednesday through Sunday 7:30am - 3:30pm
- must comply with Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and criminal history affidavit if working in behavioral health settings
- ability to perform physical cleaning tasks and move furniture
- reliable and responsible work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Two or more years of healthcare environmental services experience
- leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- role model in customer service skills, safe work practices, and infection control including hand hygiene
- basic computer skills in word processing and electronic mail preferred
- additional related education and/or experience preferred
Job Duties
- Ensures that staffing plans are carried out properly and that all areas of the hospital are staffed appropriately
- plans completion of hospital-wide projects and ensures consistent service delivery standards
- performs cleaning functions in patient rooms, specialty areas, and common areas
- trains and retrains, recruits, retains, and develops Environmental Services team members
- supervises staff in the absence of the Environmental Services leader and makes work assignments
- assists supervisor in performing quality assurance inspections and correcting deficiencies
- distributes linens and supplies and takes inventories in assigned areas
- oversees daily activities of Environmental Services team and provides input to performance evaluations
