The EVS (Environmental Services) Worker role at Aramark primarily involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to ensure a high level of customer, client, and patient satisfaction. This position is integral to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment, particularly in healthcare and client facilities, where cleanliness standards are critical. The worker follows established procedures aligned with OSHA and other regulatory requirements to provide a safe working environment, including proper infection control and handling of hazardous waste. The shifts offered include evening (5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.) and night (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) schedules, working five days a week with scheduled weekends. The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.98.
Key responsibilities include performing thorough cleaning and sanitizing of patient or resident rooms such as vacuuming, dusting at various heights, making and stripping beds, and restroom cleaning while following infection control protocols. The EVS Worker also manages the maintenance and cleaning of housekeeping equipment, ensures proper storage and disposal of trash, reports maintenance concerns, and secures the facility by locking or unlocking buildings as required. A customer-focused approach is essential, as this role requires interaction with customers, clients, patients, and co-workers while maintaining a friendly and efficient demeanor. Flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs and additional duties assigned by management are part of the role.
The position may require physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Employees may also be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms as per the job demands. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work evening or night shifts including weekends
- Must be able to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions
Job Duties
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state, local, federal, and Aramark regulations
- Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient / resident rooms that may include vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste
- Cleans restrooms following proper infection control procedures
- Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
- Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co-workers
- Is adaptable to customer needs
- Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
- Ensures security of company assets
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
