As part of this vibrant hospitality setting, the role of an Environmental Services (EVS) Attendant is pivotal in maintaining the facility's cleanliness and ensuring the comfort of both guests and staff. This position requires a dedicated individual who takes pride in upholding the highest standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the casino hotel. The primary responsibility is to clean various areas within the property, including restrooms, common spaces, offices, and gaming areas, thus contributing to an appealing and welcoming atmosphere.

The EVS Attendant plays an essential role in the day-to-day operations, involving tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, dusting furniture and equipment, cleaning windows and glass partitions, and maintaining restrooms to ensure they are fully stocked and sanitized. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask efficiently while working under a fast-paced environment. Employees are expected to demonstrate strong customer service skills by interacting effectively and courteously with casino guests and team members at all times.

Safety and compliance are paramount in this position. The Environmental Services Attendant must use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and MSDS safety procedures. Promptly reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions is mandatory to preserve a safe working and gaming environment. The role also demands physical stamina as it involves standing and walking for long durations and lifting or moving heavy objects.

Job Requirements

  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
  • Must be able to work various hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace with accuracy
  • Ability to handle stress effectively

Job Duties

  • Interact effectively with casino hotel guests and team members
  • Perform excellent customer service at all times
  • Clean property floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Move or push furniture to sweep or mop underneath
  • Clean various venues and outlets throughout the property
  • Gather and empty wastebaskets, deep clean wastebaskets as needed
  • Service, clean, restock and supply property restrooms
  • Dust slot machines, furniture, walls, and equipment
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using required supplies and chemicals
  • Sweep stairwells and clean elevators
  • Ensure cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used per manufacturer’s instructions
  • Report any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to supervisor
  • Advise management of repairs or supply shortages and maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned area
  • Comply with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies
  • Adhere to all MSDS safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
