Job Description

San Manuel is one of the largest private employers in the Inland Empire, known for its dedication to creating a dynamic and supportive workplace for its employees. The company operates a prominent casino complex, providing a vibrant and bustling environment where excellence in customer service and operational efficiency are paramount. San Manuel's commitment to employee growth, future prospects, and well-being makes it an employer of choice in the region. The casino not only offers extensive gaming and entertainment options but also maintains off-site facilities which require dedicated staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. As a leader in the gaming and hospitality industry, San Manuel fosters a culture centered on respect, integrity, and professionalism, striving to deliver an exceptional experience to both guests and employees alike.

The Environmental Services (EVS) Attendant position at San Manuel is a vital role responsible for maintaining best-in-class cleanliness and sanitation standards across the casino and its off-site buildings. Reporting directly to the Supervisor of EVS, the attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that all front-of-house and back-of-house areas are kept immaculate. This includes extensive cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, and upkeep of key gaming and non-gaming areas such as slot machines, card tables, lounges, stairwells, elevators, and escalators. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and fellow employees.

The position involves operating cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently, following strict safety guidelines, and handling cleaning chemicals according to established regulations. Responsibilities also include waste management such as emptying trash and recycling bins, using compactors correctly, and maintaining janitorial supply inventories. Additionally, the EVS attendant supports the brand’s commitment to excellent customer service by engaging positively with guests and colleagues, answering questions, providing directions, and adhering to the company’s high standards for professionalism.

Candidates for this role should possess an ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintain consistent attendance, and accept performance feedback constructively. The attendant must comply with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards when dealing with biohazardous materials, ensuring personal and workplace safety. Physical demands of the job are moderate and require the ability to lift, move, and carry objects up to 40 pounds occasionally, without sitting for extended periods. A significant component of the role also involves attending meetings, trade shows, and conferences, which may require travel and flexibility in working evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to meet operational needs.

The company favors candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and some entry-level experience in environmental services or a related field. Although a driver’s license is not required for this role, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting is essential. Overall, the EVS attendant at San Manuel plays an essential role in upholding the casino’s reputation for cleanliness, safety, and exceptional service, contributing directly to both guest satisfaction and operational success.
