Employees also have access to health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependents, and participation in Employee Assistance and discount programs. Voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, long-term care, elder and childcare, and auto and home insurance are offered, with eligibility varying by location and employment status.
The position available is for a hospital housekeeper who plays a crucial role in maintaining the hospital's environment in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition for patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include sanitizing all surfaces with germicidal cleaners according to manufacturer specifications, performing detailed discharge cleanings, dust mopping and mopping all tile floors, cleaning bathrooms, and stocking supplies in designated areas and carts. The housekeeper is also responsible for high dusting ceiling vents and ledges, dusting lower surfaces, vacuuming carpets and edges, collecting trash, delivering linen and laundry, and cleaning spots from walls and doors while reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintaining accurate records of cleaning activities and securing cleaning chemicals safely around patients and visitors are also critical duties. Additionally, the housekeeper may perform terminal cleans when necessary and assist with other related tasks as assigned.
Candidates should possess the ability to read and understand written and oral instructions in English, prioritize tasks effectively, and provide good customer service. While the minimum requirement is the ability to read and follow directions, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment is highly valued, helping ensure familiarity with infection control protocols and hospital safety standards. Overall, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and the smooth operation of a respected healthcare institution while enjoying a supportive work environment and comprehensive benefits.
